Saved through Childbearing?

My blog, my opinion, go write your own and have your own say!

As women, we do indeed think very different from our brothers, and it is a great exercise for us to learn scripture together and to gain a very full understanding of what we are reading.

Not everyone can go and ask a husband for his scriptural answers, so as sisters we ought to be ready to help one another out or for curiosity sake, have discussions on various biblical topics.

This particular passage is one that really does hang a lot of women up in their walk because they feel after reading it that they have no place in the body of Christ, which could not be further from the truth, and what if they never have kids? What then? Face value isn't always clear.

The reality is, we as women have a vital role in spreading the gospel to everyone regardless of their genders, and it begins at home and filters out through our spheres of influence.

*********** The scripture reference *********************

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

🚩Yet she [EVE] will be saved through childbearing🚩 — if they [women] continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. (1 Timothy 2:12–15)

******************************** [my inference]**************

I believe this portion of scripture begins specifically with Eve, as she was the subject of the previous sentence, that through giving birth, eventually Jesus would be born.

Going back to the serpents curse...
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭GW‬‬
[15] I will make you and the woman hostile toward each other. I will make your descendants and her descendant hostile toward each other. He will crush your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

As a result of the fall, our punishment was to bring forth our children in pain through child birth. Gen3:16
Unfortunately, many women suffer greatly from giving birth and we have forever suffered. Some of us have died, some of us have suffered extremely painful and often life threatening deliveries and some of us have never recovered physically in our reproductive area making everyday life painful and s*x painful or difficult or even not at all.

With Jesus Death and Resurrection, He broke the curse that was place on woman, putting us back in right standing with the Father, thus making us once again in equal position. We have never been below our husband's in any respect before God before the fall. While their is an ORDER in God's way, it does not devalue a woman or relegated her to nursery.

If God is the head of Jesus and Jesus is the of the church who sits under Jesus's authority?

When God created woman, He created her in equal position to man. In fact, being taken directly from Adam gave her his DNA with God giving her XY Chromosome. So, we were never inferior ever before the fall. God treated Eve as Adam. We are virtually twins.

Did you know that woman did not receive her name till after the fall? God was content with calling her Adam because she was woman. No difference in His eye's, He loved her just as much.

I hear a bunch of man jokes, "child birth must not be so bad, woman have 2,3,5 kids a man only gets kick in the sweets once, that's enough pain for him!"

While I get the joke, the point missed is that, as we go through childbearing and especially as Christian women, we are giving life to generations of believers who hopefully will along with our Savior, crush the serpents head!

Now, in the Greek, the word "they" that follows after childbearing, is not a pronoun and does not refer to the preceeding sentence, and I personally take that "THEY"  to mean the faithfulness of us mothers. How faithful are we to bring our children up in the faith and our mothers before us? Again, our children and ourselves for that matter have a duty to crush demons! Are we living up to that challenge? We can't let Jesus have all the fun!

(Little note while I'm thinking about it: There are only 10 generations between Adam and Noah, that's not quiet a 1000 years, and in that time, man went full out stupid and rebelled against God. From Noah to Babel is about 5 generations and the people again rebelled against God. How soon people will forget the goodness of God!)

We must remain faithful to God and yes ladies, we are to still learn and then go out and preach the Gospel to all flesh, starting at home, then in our circles of influence, the stranger on the street, the shop girl... you do not need a pulpit to preach Christ, you need a willing heart. You are commanded by scripture to go...so go on, git...there are places only you can go that a man could never set foot.

That is my take on that scripture. Just thinking.

Purging

Purging...

Today was day 3 of letting go. I have been discussing with my brother, Jason, the process of letting go of things that have been in our family for the past 100 years. It's been very hard.

I almost felt like I had a duty to carry these things with me throughout my life. Things that belonged to my great grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings and child.

I had some things that I was "saving" for Lila, and I decided to actually ask her if she wanted them. To my surprise she said no! She told me that she was not attached to these items and I didn't have to hold onto them.

Honestly, it felt really down letting go of something I thought was going to be a memory for her but in reality it wasn't. So I bagged them up and gave them away.

In talking with my brother he told me not to feel guilty. That it would be an act of freedom. That the memories would be more important than the object.

That's the thing. We carry around with us both literally and figuratively things from other people that we really don't need. Sure they fill valuable spaces, not only in our home but in our minds. Sometimes Good, sometimes not so good. But, we should also give ourselves the opportunity and permission to part with the baggage. The reality is, these things may not mean anything to any one else but you, I know my kid doesn't want the burden of my grandmother things!

I have put these valuable things successfully into boxes all by myself and Ryan so wonderfully shuttled them across to the very convenient second hand shop.

I won't lie, it was hard saying goodbye to these things, but so necessary.

I love my family, I miss them dearly, but my memories of them are treasures enough to carry in my heart.

When he showed his heart to me

This morning I woke up to the most heart beautiful sounds. Let me share it with you, but give you some history first...

You get to be a close couple like Ryan and me when you live your life in a sardine can, traveling around the countryside (truckers).

You don't have the luxury of walking away from an argument. You get to sit there and fight it out. No hiding.

You get to be sick, and you can't hid it or ignore it.

You get to see your wife have her period, start to finish, and suffer with her ever agonizing moment of it and not get to hid from it.

You get to see him have the runs, stuck on a bucket while you dodge potholes and pray the smell don't kill you first.

You get to make love, change your cloths, fart in a confined space. Share every intimate moment and detail with each other. You live through 2 years of that and still want to stay together, you're either mentally ill or you got something worth fighting for! And just when you think that you're in the clear, the devil throws some curve balls at you that really test your faith and strength of your marriage.

Some of you know 3yrs ago, I got a cancer diagnosis and just this past summer I was told I had begnin brain tumor that's sitting on my optic nerve. Little jerk. Ya, well,  these things have really brought out a new fight in me and Ryan and we are finding that these curve balls are causing some stressful situations.

My license has been suspended since July, so Ryan has been running solo, so Ryan is gone 7-14 days at a time, this time he was out 8 days.

Today I woke up with Ryan lying with his head on my hip, weeping quietly. I asked him why he was crying, he said, When he woke up and I was finally lying next to him, he was so grateful that I was his beautiful wife.

Ladies,  I'm here to tell you,  that right there is the reason that I am fighting all this crap! When God gives you a spouse who loves you, who is going to walk these trials with you, you got a team.

Sure it's going to be a rough road and yes we are not anywhere near perfect, but knowing that he has my back while I am going through my struggles and I got his back while he goes through his, we stand a better chance to resist the devil.

Every day, we got to take a stand as a couple and fight for each other, pray over each other if we ever hope to succeed. With Jesus as our foundation, we will work diligently to build a relationship that is firmly rooted in Christ.

Spend some time today encouraging your spouse and have some prayer time together.

Only a Vapor

My blog, agree to disagree..
Go write your own.
4500BC to 1990AD
1976AD to 1990AD

I watched a documentary last night that broke my heart, not for the contents of the documentary but for one of the commentators. I just recently learned of a really awesome theologian, R.C Sproul, and have been watching a lot of his lectures on YouTube. A lot go back to the 1980s when I was just wee brat! He was very young(ish) - born the same year as my mother - as I watch his lectures and sermons, he gradually ages, passing away in 2017. The documentary I saw last night he was on oxygen, and was probably his last documentary. I literally saw him age from a healthy young man to sickly man. How frail these earthen vessels are.

Above is one of my favourite books I bought when I was in high school, I love history, it goes from about 4500BC to 1990AD (the dawn of time to almost high school for me) I singled out 1976 to 1990 for y'all...14 yrs - it's amazing that this book holds a chronology of *known* at the time human history.

Million of lives, lived and died within the pages of this book,  most lost to time, but not lost to God.  Isn't it cool,  Good knows everyone who has every lived and we have no clue.

I showed my daughter the book as she wandered on by, in the hopes that it would spark something for her like it did me. My oldest sibling was born 1961, he died 1981. I can literally hold his entire life in the pages of the book.

The Bible does say in James 4:14, that our lives are a vapor, we are here for a moment and are gone the next. Some of us will leave a mark on the world for the good like Mother Theresa and others bad.

Me? I hope that the mark I leave is on the individuals that I met. I hope that you will all know me as some one who is the same wherever I go, in church or out of church. I don't want to lead a double life.

I want my friends to know that I am a imperfect person just like everyone else, who is trying my best everyday to do a little better than I did yesterday.

Sure, I'm not going to be walked on.  And I'm not going to allow toxic people from the past to have the same influence over me as I once did, it doesn't make me a bad person, it makes me a person with new boundaries now. Try it, it's a good thing

I also decided that I am going to openly live for Jesus. No more hiding because I "may lose friends". If I lose them, we're they really friends?

I don't know how long I have to live this life.  How long is a vapor? All I know is I'm closer to 50 than I am 40 and Jesus said He could be back any time soon.

Tomorrow is not promised - get right with Jesus, today.

Is Jesus your secret?

Matthew 10:32-33 ESV

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Welcome to my blog,  we agree to disagree,  I'm not always right and neither are you.  Spelling and grammar errors are my gifts to you, you're welcome!

In today's world,  everyone is so willing to share almost everything about their lives that it is to the point of over sharing.

Currently,  in today's world,  the biggest issue is labels of gender and pronouns. Gone are the days when we met people and they were what they presented as, with a name.

So,  my dear Christian,  how do you present your title as Christian? I'm genuinely curious about this.  I was taking with my brand new adult (18) new adult smell... vanilla...pumpkin spice... about this, to see if she meets any overtly Christian people inher sphere (other than me).

Online,  yes she sees hundreds of keyboard Christians, but how many Christians live that boldness in the real world? In the real world, she has met a couple people, but they were "scary" to her. She has never met someone who spoke to her with an agenda of love and sharing the gospel.

Truth be told, in my town, I have never been approached by anyone either.

Moving along...

I'll be honest,  I get it,  it's hard being a Christian, and even harder broadcasting it. Being a Christian is one of the hardest lifestyles that one can live.

When you live a life free of religion, you have no morality to measure your life against. You don't have to be a good person.  You don't have to be honest,  you don't have to be giving,  you don't have to do good things.  You go and do you, no one cares.

Now claim Christ, and see how things change for you.

•The moment you decide not to drive someone somewhere, that's not very Christian of you.
•The moment you lose your temper, that's not very Christian of you.
•The moment you cuss, that's not very Christian of you.
•The moment you have a glass of wine, that's not very Christian of you.

Things become just that much harder when you decide to step out and witness for Jesus.

Even better,  those who knew you before Jesus, will hold the old you against the Saved you.  Just waiting for you to screw up!

It's wúnderbar! 😑

Let me give you some hope,  even great men like Martin Luther, the father of Reformation found being a Christian difficult and so did John Wesley the father of Calvinism.  It's an uphill battle, it's a war, and there are days it really sucks! But good news, you're not alone and there is an end in sight with great reward!

2 Tim 2:12 If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;...

Everyday, in everyway, it is a literal work of progress. From how you speak, to how interact with EVERYONE, to how you think, to what you think about, what you watch, what you read, what you allow, disallow, everything!

1 Tim 4:12-15 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.

It is a call to Holiness, and holiness is not an over night thing. It is a life time achievement, work, hard work, that you need to work on.  But it starts with very simple things and one of them is a confession of faith in Jesus.

Romans 10:9-11 If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,  you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the scripture says, that everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.

Never,  ever,  be ashamed to share your love of Jesus with the people you met. I know it's hard and you will met people who are hostile towards you,  but understand,  it's not them,  it's the spirit in them that is hostile towards God's Holy Spirit in you.

Sure people are going to distance themselves from you,  but keep the doors open, because when the time to pray comes,  you're number is going to be at the top of their list, mine is, and pray daily for them too. It's a dark road they are on,  and you may be the only Jesus they get to see.

Share Jesus. Be Bold in Faith. He died for you. Live for Him.

broken, imperfect, perfection

Welcome to my blog,  as usual,  disclaimer,  my opinion. Agree to disagree.

Broken, imperfect, Perfection

"Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art."

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/better/amp/ncna866471

I just recently learned about Kintsugi, and of course my mind went straight to scripture! The parallels of broken pottery and our broken sin nature are very obvious to me.

In our western world,  when we break Pottery, plates and such, we tend to throw it in the garage and replace the item if possible. Sometimes, we try to glue the item back together, while trying to hide the scar. But never in my years have I ever thought to willfully display a crack like a Kintsugi bowl!

I have a lot of antiques in my home, passed down from my grandparents and some have been damaged throughout the years, maybe I will highlight the damage with gold!

Anyways, back to the Bible...

Our Heavenly, most Holy Father, loves to use broken vessels. He made us from the earth to begin with.

2 Cor. 4:7, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not us.”

So that His Glory and His power would shine through us to others.

We in and of ourselves have no power and no strength, but put the power and Spirit of the Living God in us and watch and see what can do with Him!

God will put our pieces back together and unlike the Kintsugi, you won't see cracks of gold because when God rebuilds someone, He makes us whole!

That's the thing about man, he can put something together that he broke, but it will never be the same, but with God, old things become New!

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

What an awesome gift from the Father!

We feel totally inadequate, broken and of no use. Put out to the curb. Jesus comes along, sees us and says, "Man, what a deal!" He cleans us up, fixes the brokenness, and makes us to be the best possible self we can be (if we so choose).

1 Cor 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

God doesn't do what man wants,  He does what He wants. He chooses who He will, He will show mercy on who He will, and justice on who He will. It's not up to man to decide.  If God wants to use you,  He will. He isn't going to ask permission either.

Do you think He asked Saul (Paul) on his way to Damascus if he wanted a God encounter that day? No, He did not. So just so you are aware, if He wants you, you're up to bat, so get to the plate.

Nothing God is asking you to do is above your pay grade. He us aware that what He has assigned is going to make you uncomfortable- but heres the question and I take this question from a missionary I recently learned about who during the 1960s was in war torn Africa, as a doctor; who was being beaten and gang raped -asked God, very rightly I might add, "Where are you" to which God replied "Can you trust in this moment with this experience, even if I never tell you the reason why you are going through it?" Dr. Helen Roseveare

CAN YOU TRUST GOD RIGHT NOW?
IN THE EXPERIENCE YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, RIGHT NOW, IN YOUR TRIAL, IN YOUR BROKENNESS, IN YOUR HEARTBREAK, IN YOUR HEALTH SCARE?

3 yrs ago, I rolled up to a very large hospital in London, Ontario. LRCC was the acronym, not once did I bother to ask what it meant, it was part of the children's hospital, I assumed it had something to do with children. I was wrong.

London Regional Cancer Centre

Um... ya. I went in,  very confused.  I had blood worked done, and waited for the doctor. The doctor came, he started talking in all kinds of big words. MGUS of undetermined nature, multiple myloma... I had to stop him. What are you saying,  and why am I here? My back aches. Dumbfounded he looks at me, you have cancer. My reply... "mppff ok".

Not really anything else to say after that.  I don't get the connection but whatever. I leave the office and I'm alone with my thoughts. Okay. Cancer. Oh well. You're problem God, not mine. Haven't given it much thought since.  Regular visits and all, unchanged in 3yrs because YHWH Rapha is my HEALER! Hasn't hurt me and nor will it. It's not my time.

This past June, 2023.... I lose sight in my right eye for a few hours. Dr's thought stroke. Nope. Ultrasound, CT scan... ophthalmologist...You have a Brain tumor... me, "Cool". Off for MRI.

I leave that building, time to talk to God again, Lord, your word says you will never leave me,  and I have nothing to fear, so I will not be afraid no matter what comes my way! If you are with me, we golden!

Next!!!! Devil, you are passing me off. Keep it up and you're going to make this personal.

God is going to use us broken people! He is going to take the ones the world has shoved aside and use us to bring the gospel to the ones the church can't reach! He is going to show them how to over come the devil!

It is through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ and the Word of our testimonies! It's all we have! We don't need to go to seminary to tell people what Jesus is doing for us! We just show them our lives, our recoveries, our stories!

Jesus is our lives, He takes broken pottery and makes us new! He heals the broken hearted, He binds the wounded, He sets the captives free! That's what He does because He loves us, He died for us! He wants freedom for all of us!

Praise the Lord, my soul! Praise his holy name, all that is within me. Praise the Lord, my soul, and never forget all the good he has done: He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases, the one who rescues your life from the pit, the one who crowns you with mercy and compassion, the one who fills your life with blessings so that you become young again like an eagle.

All we got to do is believe. Just like the thief on the cross, only believe.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Listen, Israel: The Lord is our God. The Lord is the only God. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up.⌊Write them down, and⌋ tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Deuteronomy 6:4‭-‬9 GW
https://bible.com/bible/70/deu.6.4-9.GW

Good morning Ladies! My usual disclaimer, my thoughts, my opinions, my blog!

I know most of you have read, or heard this verse for years and years, so I figured we would disect it today verse by verse.

Deuteronomy means "second law". This is where Moses came back and reiterated all that God had said to him to the children of Israel.

Verses 4&5: Listen, Israel: The Lord is our God. The Lord is the only God. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

The biggest and most important law ever is to LOVE GOD. Why does this even have to be mention? From my estimation as a layperson comes from my studying of ancient history which includes learning about the ancient gods and goddesses of old.

In a nutshell, these gods were nothing compared to the Living God. They were carved by the hands of man, from his own imagination and truth be spoken, they eventually were feared and vandictive gods. There was nothing loving about them. A lot of the gods were war gods!  You were told these god were out to kick butt and Severed heads! You could not walk in a relationship with them! You feared them. You sacrificed your people, your children to them and they didn't bother so much as raise a hand to help you. How could they? They were stone and wood.

Rev 9:20  The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk,

But God!

God is not the same as these created things. Here is the Biggest difference between God and these carvings, He is LIVING. No man created Him! He created men! He has infinite power and authority. He loves those He created and wants only Good things for them. He gave His son for you. Imagine that, a God made a sacrifice for you. God reached down to us to bring us up to Him. A God calls you daughter.

Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

So we ought to return His unfailing love and purpose our life for His glory. If Jesus could suffer and die the most horrific death an innocent man could suffer, your very best is the least you can give him.

Verse 6 : Take to heart these words I give you today.

When you take something to heart, it becomes real to you. It is a promise. It's one thing to hear something it's another to believe the truth of something.

God is asking us TODAY to trust His Word, to trust that He will keep every promise He has uttered. God is not a liar like mankind, God watches over His own Words. Believe Him when He tells you He loves you and wants His very best for you.

Verse 7: Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you are Home or away, when you lie down and when you get up.

Every minute of everyday your thoughts and Words should be God Focused. Your kids need to hear you speak His words. You are  representing God in your family and you need to teach your kids His truth.

Prov 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

You are 100% responsible for training your children! If you are not a Christian, send your kids to Sunday School! They don't need to suffer your bad choices! Keep in mind, there were No children on the Ark! Their parents were selfish and allowed for them to suffer the same fate as them!

One of the things I sorely missed since my mom left this crappy old world for Glory, the hours of Christian conversation. I learned so much from her!

How many of us were blessed to have a mom or grandma or aunt who loved Jesus and shared His love you?

I am a legacy! My great grandmother was a believer, My grandmother and my mother were believers! My mom was a Reverend! I am a seed of the promise! So will my daughter be!

Ps102:18 Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord!

Ps 103:17-18bBut the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

Praying generations make great warriors! I have already prayed for my grandbabies, they are many years off but I know that my future has no room for the devil and neither does my family! I declare over my seed and hers the Salvation of the Lord! Heck, my daughter's husband is spoken for too and so is his family!

God's Word is for our use in virtually every situation. I can't really think of any situation where you can't give glory to God even in the darkest storm!

Thing is ladies, we are coming to a time in history where the Word of God, our bibles will be taken from us, and all we will have is our memories! Learn Gods Word. Speak it in every situation so that you will be ready to give your answers in season and out! You wouldn't rush into battle unarmed!!! Gods Word must, needs, to be an every day every situation topic!

I really don't care if people call me radical or extreme. I will never be the cause of someone going to hell! I will tell you all as much as I can about Jesus, salvation, hell and heaven! We are on the clock ladies, you got to line your lives up with the Word if you want to finish strong!

Verses 8&9: ⌊Write them down, and⌋ tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Let your eyes and mind see the Word of God everywhere! Post-it notes, wall art, paintings! Fill your home with the Gospel! Let your home fires burn with the Holy Spirit!

I play praise music as much as I can. I occasionally listen to secular music but I am finding that it no longer holds interest to me. I have never really been a fan of modern music, I have been stuck in the 50's and 60's most of my life and adore Petra. It's a hard road to walk especially if you are the only one in the house to walk it but your example of Jesus living in you could be the example that gets your kids or husband into the kingdom!

So in closing, do something fun, When you have your next conversation, purposely throw God phrases into your everyday talk, do it for the looks! It's fun to catch people off guard! Something good happens,  "Thank you Jeaus!" Is a great place to start!
