Baruch haba b'shem Adonai!

My blog, my views. My disclaimer.
-----
Baruch haba b'shem Adonai!
Blessed & Happy Palm Sunday!

Today is the start of the most Holy week in all of Christianity, and I feel I like to give a little sermon.

First, Blessed is He, Jesus, who comes in the Name of the Lord!

I love the name "Adonai" most of all, of all of God's personals names.  It means "My Lord". It's beautiful. I love how it sounds.

That's the thing about our Adonai, He is beautiful,  and all His works are to be admired and He should be admired. He is a King after all.

Some 2000 years ago, today, a beautiful spring day on a very crowed street in Jerusalem the people gathered, laying palm leaves on the ground, chanting "Baruch haba b'shem Adonai!" Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!

The people watch as Jesus fulfilled yet another prophecy in their view, yet they didn't understand what they were seeing.

They were hoping against hope that Jesus would crush the Romans right then and there but it wasn't time. No,  not yet.  But soon.

While we wait,  we are to wait expectantly. We are to wait with anticipation of His return. Not be caught unaware. In my mind I picture it that we are to be party planning. We need to be inviting (witnesses) as many people to the party as we can.  Because when the time comes,  you don't want to be left out!

You know,  I actually just read something on idiotbook I want to share...

Folks, don't let this be you're Christian walk!

Don't give your friends or family the opportunity to stand before God and point their fingers at you as they are turned away from the party because you FAILED TO INVITE THEM!!!!

No way! I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ! I will share it so I am not the reason!

Live intentionally, Live purposely for the Cross of Christ, it was intentional and purposed for us!

Don't Judge someone because they sin differently than you... ya right

My blog.. my opinion, disclaimer, blah blah blah...

So my husband says I should rejoin the land of social media, it'll be fun, he said, my friends miss me he said, I need to be more social, he said.... bah humbug.

So what do I do? I join a bunch of Christian women groups. And what do I find? Stupid memes by the boat load y'all! Like I'm not even kidding.

It's not like I go looking for an argument okay, it's just that someone will post the most flakiest crap I have ever read and I sit here and wonder if I'm the only one who read what the meme said. Let me give you guys an example and then I will post my comment below the meme.... just so you know, everyone who read this meme AGREED with it! There were more "Amens" in that thread then common sense.

Picture 1.

My reply (which probably is my death nell for the group)

Man, I'm sorry, not really, but this meme is so full of crap!!!!. ....ABSOLUTELY CALL THEM OUT.. be bold enough to love someone enough to call out their sin, you would want them to bring correction to you would you not? Or would you rather love them straight to hell?

TMI TIME ladies, I had the worst marriage humanly possible. I mean 12 years of being beaten and belittle and when I got the chance to run away, you bet your sweet buns I took it and ran clear across the bloody country.

Unfortunately for me, I left my brains with my bible a few thousand miles behind me.

There was a opportunity to sin and boy howdy did I jump on it! And everyone save ONE person was all "you go girl! You deserve happiness!" Utter bunk! Only one person called me out! My brother, he got in my face, called me and my sin out for what it truly was because he truly loved me, and he wasn't perfect either!

Love is telling the truth even when it could cost you a relationship.

Sin separates us from OUR MOST HOLY GOD!!! That right there should straighten us up!

This is a true story, let my stupidity be your warning, you don't have to make these mistakes, you can stay on the narrow road and learn the lessons from us dummies.

Be bold, it may hurt, but God is calling us to holiness, He won't put up with our out-right sinning for much longer, be bold sisters!

Stand alone if you must.

Sisters, I really, really need to drill this home to everyone, only Jesus is perfect.

So while you may be struggling in your sin, and sinning differently from your sister (or brother) the Bible literally says in John 8:32b THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!

When we step out of the darkness and into the light, we are shinning a bright bold spotlight on our sin and exposing our sins to the cross of Calvary! The devil then loses his hold on us and has no more power on us AND in doing so, we become accountable to each other.

There is nothing wrong with correcting one another and being accountable to each other and most importantly to God. Jesus confront people with their sin consistently! The woman at the well being the most prime example.

But it is always up to us to come to God with a repented heart.

Philippians 2:12-13

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

It's truly a power move on our part! Frankly, this stupid meme is actually outright lying to the reader and making the reader assume an entirely false assumption! To not confront is to turn a blind eye!

Yes, recognize the sin in your own life! (the plank in your eye)  but don't let your sister fall to hell because you're afraid to be called out for your own sin! Deal with it! Deal with it together! Be corrected together! Be humbled together! Beat the enemy  TOGETHER! ACCOUNTABILITY.

Paul, when he found out that Peter was being two-faced with Jews and Gentiles called him out in public! What Peter was doing was wrong, and in fact was causing division in the new church and Paul was having none it. So if Paul can call out Peter for bad behaviour, you can call out your sister who is in need of a darn good "come to Jesus moment" just like my brother did for me.

Maybe, the sin you sin differently that are now being exposed to the cross of Christ will become a repentive ground and a Victory for the Cross!

You don't know,  that moment could be your last moment to speak to her! We are not promised a tomorrow and frankly, who do we think we are playing with fire the way we do! She could meet her end!

Again, let my lesson be your lesson so you don't get burned! Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God!!!

Ok, so meme 2...

Okay, so the next meme breaks my heart, no seriously, shatters me. I know y'all think I'm a cold, heartless, cantankerous, crazy, cat lady, I am, but I do have an itty-bitty tiny little heart that hurts when I see other people suffering, needlessly.

One thing that really strikes a cord is when I read, "Why God..." like the following meme...
my reply:

No, wrong thinking!

Bad things happen to everyone regardless, it isn't a why did God let this happen to me.

It's God, how can I serve you and give you the glory while I go through this journey.

Everything has it's purpose and will ultimately have a meaning in the end. We won't know why during the horrors of that particular moment but maybe a few days, months, years down the road (maybe in the here after) God will reveal to us the "Why".

If you are today in a horrific moment, don't ask God "why", ask Him "how". How can He trust you in that moment to bring Glory to Him. To be a lamp to someone who is watching you suffer.

Remember Paul when he ask for that Thorne in the flesh to be removed Jesus said, My Grace is Sufficient for you.

Ladies, God loves us so much, that He sent Jesus to us, and Jesus loved us so much that He obediently gave His life, his innocent life for us.

He is our reason to speak truth to our sisters and to give God the Glory due Him even in the midst of the worst trials.

Should you Forgive yourself?

Welcome to blog, usual disclaimer here...my opinion, you got one of your own so go write your own blog.

Should you FORGIVE yourself?

While it's not expressly spelled out in scripture, it is part of repentance. As we turn from our sins we distance ourselves from them as well.

Think of the woman "caught in adulery". Jesus tells her that no one is condemning her after all her accusers had fled, and therefore Jesus did not accuse her. Should she walk through her life now as an adulteress or as someone who has been justified by Grace through Jesus? Personally, I'd go with justified.

God forgives us and as an act of His benevolence, He remembers them no more. So why should you? Sure you can get a lot of milage telling everyone had bad and worldly you once were but Romans 8:1 states that therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - because why? Because you are now living by the Spirit and if you know anything about the Holy Spirit, He doesn't remind you of the past that you are forgiven for.

2Corinthians 5:17-18
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

If you are a New Creation, you get a clean slate and fresh start! Now is your chance to do things right. Yes, maybe for you, you burned a lot of bridges but the thing is, with time, bridges can be rebuilt. You will have to earn trust where it was broken, earn respect where you lost it, or maybe, you will have to make a clean start.

Philippians 3:13
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Letting go of your past and forgiving yourself is the most freeing work of Grace we have! Imagine being Paul! How many people suffered and died because of him! He was present as Stephen, the first Christian was martyred and was the cause! No, he had to let go of the very terrible things that he had done and forgive himself in order to be useful to Jesus! This New Creation deserves a fresh start. It deserves the freedom that can only be found in Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The gift of grace is God's favour on me that I do not deserve and through Jesus, I can go to my Father and confess to Him my shortcomings, my failures, my deepest mess ups and I know that while there are natural consequences for my stupidity, I know that I am forgiven and I have a place of rightstanding with my Father.

What good will it do to relieve in my mind over and over my past mistakes? I already know where I messed up, I know I'm not dumb enough to pull the same stupid move again, so if I have TRULY repented, TRULY turned my back on that sin, and are moving forward, God has got me. I may have to go through a time of correction due to my actions, but it's a natural consequence that happens. Good, Bad or indifferent.

Yes, the world won't let me forget what I have done, but I don't live for them, I live for my Saviour Jesus Christ! And we all know who the accuser of the brethren is, and he is just waiting to throw my mistakes at me, but I have the Blood of Christ which washes me clean!

Saved through Childbearing?

My blog, my opinion, go write your own and have your own say!

As women, we do indeed think very different from our brothers, and it is a great exercise for us to learn scripture together and to gain a very full understanding of what we are reading.

Not everyone can go and ask a husband for his scriptural answers, so as sisters we ought to be ready to help one another out or for curiosity sake, have discussions on various biblical topics.

This particular passage is one that really does hang a lot of women up in their walk because they feel after reading it that they have no place in the body of Christ, which could not be further from the truth, and what if they never have kids? What then? Face value isn't always clear.

The reality is, we as women have a vital role in spreading the gospel to everyone regardless of their genders, and it begins at home and filters out through our spheres of influence.

*********** The scripture reference *********************

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

🚩Yet she [EVE] will be saved through childbearing🚩 — if they [women] continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. (1 Timothy 2:12–15)

******************************** [my inference]**************

I believe this portion of scripture begins specifically with Eve, as she was the subject of the previous sentence, that through giving birth, eventually Jesus would be born.

Going back to the serpents curse...
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭GW‬‬
[15] I will make you and the woman hostile toward each other. I will make your descendants and her descendant hostile toward each other. He will crush your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

As a result of the fall, our punishment was to bring forth our children in pain through child birth. Gen3:16
Unfortunately, many women suffer greatly from giving birth and we have forever suffered. Some of us have died, some of us have suffered extremely painful and often life threatening deliveries and some of us have never recovered physically in our reproductive area making everyday life painful and s*x painful or difficult or even not at all.

With Jesus Death and Resurrection, He broke the curse that was place on woman, putting us back in right standing with the Father, thus making us once again in equal position. We have never been below our husband's in any respect before God before the fall. While their is an ORDER in God's way, it does not devalue a woman or relegated her to nursery.

If God is the head of Jesus and Jesus is the of the church who sits under Jesus's authority?

When God created woman, He created her in equal position to man. In fact, being taken directly from Adam gave her his DNA with God giving her XY Chromosome. So, we were never inferior ever before the fall. God treated Eve as Adam. We are virtually twins.

Did you know that woman did not receive her name till after the fall? God was content with calling her Adam because she was woman. No difference in His eye's, He loved her just as much.

I hear a bunch of man jokes, "child birth must not be so bad, woman have 2,3,5 kids a man only gets kick in the sweets once, that's enough pain for him!"

While I get the joke, the point missed is that, as we go through childbearing and especially as Christian women, we are giving life to generations of believers who hopefully will along with our Savior, crush the serpents head!

Now, in the Greek, the word "they" that follows after childbearing, is not a pronoun and does not refer to the preceeding sentence, and I personally take that "THEY"  to mean the faithfulness of us mothers. How faithful are we to bring our children up in the faith and our mothers before us? Again, our children and ourselves for that matter have a duty to crush demons! Are we living up to that challenge? We can't let Jesus have all the fun!

(Little note while I'm thinking about it: There are only 10 generations between Adam and Noah, that's not quiet a 1000 years, and in that time, man went full out stupid and rebelled against God. From Noah to Babel is about 5 generations and the people again rebelled against God. How soon people will forget the goodness of God!)

We must remain faithful to God and yes ladies, we are to still learn and then go out and preach the Gospel to all flesh, starting at home, then in our circles of influence, the stranger on the street, the shop girl... you do not need a pulpit to preach Christ, you need a willing heart. You are commanded by scripture to go...so go on, git...there are places only you can go that a man could never set foot.

That is my take on that scripture. Just thinking.
